What activities are there for children and young people?
ON SUNDAYS
The first part of our Sunday service is suitable for all ages and then, in Sunday School, we cater for children up to 14 years. Meanwhile, there is a supervised creche for babies and toddlers if parents wish to make use of it. We have all-age services four or five times a year and at holiday times we offer a mix of all-age worship with children’s activities during the sermon and prayers. At our monthly Communion services, children are included in the distribution of bread and wine, unless you ask for a blessing instead.
KIDS’ CLUB
Kids’ Club meets monthly on Saturdays (usually 10:30am – 2.30pm). Our motto is Strong children for the world of tomorrow. Kids’ Club is open to girls and boys aged 6 to 13 from both Peace Church and our host church of Friedenskirche and all activities are bi-lingual. Kids’ Club offers lots of opportunities to play, sing, dance, cook, dress up, act and face-paint and to enjoy movies, stories, craft, outings, playing out of doors and making friends.
TEENS INTERNATIONAL
Teens International is a group of 13 to 16 year olds from both Peace Church and Friedenskirche. Activities are usually held at church on one Friday per month, starting at 6.00pm with a shared supper.
BAPTISM AND CONFIRMATION
Baptisms can be arranged with the Pastor and form part of a Sunday service.
Confirmation classes prepare young people for adult membership of the church and usually take place one Saturday a month for a year or so before Confirmation.
